Preparing for your interview:
Research the Business Unit, role, hiring manager, and team.
Reach out to the Talent Acquisition Partner, hiring manager or member of the team (prior to the interview) for an informal conversation to learn more about the role.
Join a Talent & Careers Office Hours session for live interview preparation, practicing your pitch, and general interview tips.
Your interview pitch:
Prepare and practice a 60-90 second pitch about yourself that covers who you are and what you do, but also delivers insight into your values, achievements, and passions. Tailor your pitch to why you want this position and what you want that leader to know about you.
Tip: Your pitch should not mimic your resume/CV – the leader already has that. Use your pitch as a “why” (why you want the role, why you’re the best candidate, etc.) instead of the “what” (what you’ve done that is already in your resume/CV). You will have time in your interview to focus on the “what.”
Behavioral-based interview questions:
Think of specific situations to answer behavioral based questions as it relates to the role. For example, if a job description requires that a person be able to influence at all levels of the organization, be ready with examples of how you have successfully changed someone’s mind or guided them to move in a direction you needed.
